MR. Haja Sheriff

Haja Sheriff leads the Emerging Business for the Education team in AWS Public Sector. As part of this role, Haja is responsible for all emerging business across EdTech, Institutes, Not for Profit, and New Geographies in South Asia including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and Maldives. Haja has been with Amazon over the last 8 years and has worked as the Partner Leaders for the Public Sector business in AWS, and before that been part of the core team that launched Alexa and Kindle content in India. He was also part of the team that launched AWS Marketplace in APJ based out of Singapore. Over a 30+ years professional journey, Haja has been a co-founder of a startup and has had experiences across APJ and India in companies like Microsoft, and IBM where he has built new businesses in different countries and markets. Haja has spent half his working career in Singapore and the rest in India. Haja has a Bachelor’s degree from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and an MBA from BIM, Trichy and is also a certified Executive Coach.
